Russia’s air defense systems have intercepted 10 Ukrainian planes, the Russian ministry said via Reuters

(Reuters) – Russia’s air defense system intercepted 10 Ukrainian drones in four locations within an hour on Thursday evening, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

No damage or injuries were reported.

The service, writing on the Telegram messaging app, said five drones were shot down in the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian army carried out an attack in August, between 10:00 and 11pm Moscow time (1900 and 2000 GMT).

Three drones were destroyed in the Bryansk region, also on the border with Ukraine, one in the Oryol region in central Russia and one in the Black Sea Crimean peninsula, which was seized by Russia in 2014.

The governor of Oryol region, Andrei Klyhchkov, wrote on Telegram that anti-aircraft units shot down five Ukrainian drones in his region.
