Moldova’s top election official says polling officials accused of corruption will be replaced By Reuters

CHISINAU, Moldova (Reuters) – The head of Moldova’s Election Commission said on Friday that several officials overseeing the first round of the country’s presidential election are suspected of corruption and will be replaced for Sunday’s vote.

“Some members of the electoral commissions, including the chairpersons, secretaries and clerks were included in the documents compiled by the police and prosecutors,” said the head of the commission Angela Caraman in a statement. “Some of them have been removed from the electoral bodies.”
