China’s inflation drops in Dec By Reuters

Beijing – Consumer inflation eased in China in December, while falling producer prices continued, as Beijing stepped up policy support to boost the faltering economy.
The consumer price index rose 0.1% last month on a year-over-year basis, down from November’s 0.2% rise and the weakest pace since April, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Thursday. That was in line with forecasts in a Reuters poll of economists.
The CPI was down month-on-month, against a 0.6% drop in November and similar forecasts.
The producer price index fell 2.3% year-on-year in December, slower than the 2.5% fall in November and the 2.4% decline.
