Andrew Bon Salle joins the board of directors of Mr. Cooper Group
Mr Cooper Group on Monday announced the addition of Andrew Bon Salle to the board of directors. Bon Salle will officially join the board on January 1.
Bon Salle is a 30-year industry veteran with vast experience in many business areas. His latest role was with Home Point Capital as chairman of the board. He left Home Point shortly before Mr. Cooper acquired the company in 2023.
His new daily responsibilities to Mr. Cooper were not specified in the announcement. But his solid experience gives him a unique knowledge base to guide Mr. Cooper in 2025.
Bon Salle’s three decades of experience include “capital markets, securities risk management and housing policy leadership,” according to Mr. Cooper. Prior to joining Home Point, the mortgage leader served as senior vice president of single-family business and senior vice president of underwriting. Fannie Mae. Bon Salle oversees various aspects of the federally sponsored single-family business lending business, overseeing a $3.5 billion loan portfolio.
In a statement, the American University graduate expressed his happiness in joining Mr. Cooper and help in the home ownership journey of consumers.

This is not the first position for the Bon Salle board. In April, he joined Company Meridian Capital Group as an independent board member.
Mr. Cooper Group has also undergone significant changes, making an agreement in July to acquire rights to receive 356 billion dollars (MSRs), subcontracts and developments, and a third-party platform (TPO) from. Flagstar Bank. The deal was an excellent example of an industry-wide M&A transformation to acquire and consolidate the MSR portfolio.
