UK retail sales rose 0.2% in November By Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – British retail sales rose 0.2% from November’s weakest pace, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics which added to signs of a slowing economy.
A Reuters poll of economists had forecast a monthly increase of 0.5% in sales volume since October.
The monthly rise in sales was the first since August but in the three months to November, prices rose by just 0.3%, the weakest performance since the three months to June, the ONS said on Friday.
Sterling was little changed against the US dollar immediately after the data.
