(NYSE:) today presented the world premiere of the new full-size boat BF300 at the Dusseldorf Boat Show 2025 (Dusseldorf Boat Show 2025), held in Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. , from January 18 to 26, 2025. The BF300 will be sold respectively in Japan, Europe and Asia regions before the end of 2025.
Using the 4,952 cm3 (302 in3) V8 engine developed for the BF350, the flagship model of Honda’s marine outboards that goes on sale in February 2024, the BF300 provides powerful propulsion with a maximum output of 300 horsepower. In addition to exhibiting high performance and seaworthiness achieved by high torque, the BF300 was designed to use conventional fuel despite its high emissions. In recent years, recreational marine activities using large boats have become more and more popular, especially in North America and Europe. Against this backdrop, and following the launch of the BF350, Honda introduced the BF300, another high-output engine, to meet the needs of many customers.
The BF300 is equipped with advanced support features to ensure a smoother and more comfortable boating experience for customers, including new functions introduced for the first time with the BF350, such as the cruise control function, which makes it possible to move at a set speed of the boat. or engine speed (rpm), and a trim support function, which automatically adjusts the trim angle(1) to maintain one of the preset patterns. The BF300 also features an automatic tilt function to fully tilt the outboard motor up/down automatically (2), greatly increasing dock availability and/or outboard storage. In addition, the new structure of the engine cover and the oil filter, respectively, are adopted to make attachment and removal easier to reduce the maintenance burden of customers.
By updating the ECU function of the base model, which is the BF350, the BF300 features some improved operational comfort. Specifically, if you use three outboard motors together, a center control function can be added to the center outboard motor to rotate the board in place stably. In conjunction with the market launch of the BF300, this function is also planned to be included in the BF350.
