The nation’s two biggest MLSs are meeting once again. On Wednesday, i California Regional MLS (CRMLS) and Mid-Atlantic-based Bright MLS announced that they would give subscribers the same data access, or “guest access,” to access other people’s lists.
CRMLS currently has over 127,000 active listings and Bright MLS hosts over 115,000 active listings.
According to the announcement, the visitor access agreement benefits both buyers and real estate agents who often find themselves crossing state lines.
“Common access to data will give both buyers and listing agents greater opportunities to represent large customers with diverse needs,” the announcement said.
Parallel data access is now available to CRMLS and Bright MLS subscribers through Matrix. Users do not need separate credentials to access MLSs.
