Lockheed Martin to deliver 110 F-35 fighter jets by 2024 By Reuters
(Reuters) – Lockheed Martin (NYSE:) has delivered 110 F-35 fighter jets to the United States and its allies by 2024, the Bethesda, Maryland-based contractor said in a statement Wednesday.
The total deliveries hit the high end of the 75 to 110 range for jet deliveries CEO Jim Taiclet gave on an earnings call last summer.
Lockheed raised its sales target in July after the Pentagon resumed deliveries of the F-35 following a temporary suspension over delays in its software development. Lockheed has been upgrading the jets under the Technology Refresh 3, or TR-3, program, which gives the F-35 better displays and processing power.
Lockheed’s F-35 program contributes about 30% of the company’s revenue.
“Lockheed Martin is fully committed to developing and delivering unparalleled air governance solutions to the United States and our allies, helping to ensure that America continues to own the skies,” the company said in a statement.
