EXp Realty has found another headline-grabbing tenant, with The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter and her partner, Travis Mullen, join the company as group leaders of The Gated Group.
“Kirschenheiter and Mullen epitomize the entrepreneurial spirit that defines eXp Realty,” eXp Realty CEO Leo Pareja said in a written statement. “Our platform is designed for professionals who are ready to grow and innovate, and I’m glad they saw an opportunity to build their legacy here. eXp Realty is where the professionals will grow, and we are excited to support them on this journey.”
Kirschenheiter and Mullen have worked together for several years, and the pair closed an $8.5 million sale of the Luxury International Portfolio this year. The latest US Weekly in an interview, Kirschenheiter said he loves dealing with clients while Mullen, who has an extensive background in real estate investment and financial analysis, is the “brains and heart” of their business.
“He’s a wonderful natural problem solver, and he handles all the twists and turns that are inevitable in a local story,” he said. US Weekly. “Together, we are the complete package.”
The two said they are focused on high-end markets and serving international buyers and sellers.
“Helping people find their home — the place where memories are made — is incredibly fulfilling,” Kirschenheiter said in the eXp announcement. “Real estate is a career where I can grow and build myself while staying true to who I am. At eXp Realty, I feel like I belong to a rare community in real estate. It’s not about competition – it’s about collaboration. That’s the kind of environment we thrive in.”
Mullen said eXp’s cloud-based model and supportive community were the deciding factors in their move and will allow them to take their team to new heights.
“The flexibility of the eXp model just made sense to us,” he said. “The end of the commission, the virtual tools and the supportive community stood out. We wanted to build a brand that reflects who we are, and eXp Realty gives us the power to do just that. The Gated Group is opening new doors at eXp Realty. Whether a client is buying, selling or dreaming, we are here to make it happen.”
Kirschenheiter and Mullen are part of eXp’s recruiting and retention strategy. EXP Chief Marketing Officer Wendy Forsythe said the company is focusing its efforts on recruiting experienced agents and capitalizing on its legacy as the industry’s first cloud-based business.
“We are here focused on attraction producers and teams,” Inman told the previous article. “So that’s the industry standard. This year we had a campaign and the mantra around ‘eXp is where profits grow.’ That really be the foundation of our recruiting efforts, especially considering the market.”
“Agents want stability and inheritance and all the essential foundations that a proven model and brokerage like eXp can provide,” he added. “So that has been a very big focus of our recruiting efforts this year.”
