Skanska to build the Johns Hopkins University library in Maryland, USA worth USD 104 M, about SEK 1.1 billion by Investing.com

STOCKHOLM, December 23, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Skanska has signed a contract for modernization Milton S. Eisenhower Library of Johns Hopkins University in maryland, USA. A contract value of USD 104 M, approximately SEK 1.1 billion, will be included in the US order booking for the fourth quarter of 2024.

This project includes renovation and modern interior design of Milton S. Eisenhower Library, Johns Hopkins University flagship library at Baltimore, Maryland. Renovations include a reimagining of the 182,000-SF, six-story library built in 1964. The project includes all new finishes and MEP systems, new communication stairs and skylights that provide communication and light on four levels, below grade. The building envelope includes the restoration of windows and roofing. The project will be LEED ® Gold and net-zero ready.

Construction began July 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2026.
