The 150-year-olds do not receive social security – here’s a better DOGE employee – Research Center

The claims that fraudulent fraud do not hold water.

In the newly egg office plenty, Elon Musk gave the journalists an example for fraud, debris and abuse that he purposed for public safety.

His agency search has turned to millions of people 150 and older. His visible thinking is that these people are dead certainly, and consequently illusion took place by paying benefits to the dead.

To add weight to his story, the Musks have just shared his numbers on X, the social platform-media owners. Indeed, his minions find about 20 million people over 100, all who died and had benefits.

Social security information includes all people who have been paid to the program or receive benefits. It is reasonable to have a complete record of the History. The MUSK group requested a machine to capture the database and pointed to all those without death with their record, and that question has placed the musk numbers.

Two problems are important here. First, it is not surprising that Musk numbers over the US population (see Figure 1). Indeed, over ten years ago the 2015 Audit Report from Agency’s Inspect General pointed to the lack of death data as a problem. However, if you have the power needed to address a history and a limited budget, the Agency decided to focus on developing current employees’ program despite historical documents. Therefore, while it would be good if each record has a day of death, many are not.

Second, because the most adult records present outside the day of death, that does not mean that these dead people receive checks. Two pieces of evidence supported the dispute. Most importantly, the number of checks will come out to retire and the benefits of disability is what one can expect. For example, the number of age 65+ million are 59 million, and the number of retired checks, 56 million widows / widows (see Figure 2). Once the checks are also reaching 21 elders, the amount of payments will exceed the number of 65+ people.

At a particular Micro level, the report of the Inspector General reported that while the inspectors had received millions of people in the program they may have died, they received only 13 checks that achieve about 112 beneficiaries. In fact, a few of the people live for the year.

Of course, any organization pays $ 1.4 trillion each year to retire and disabled people and their families will be undeniable. Social Security Board, Export Techniques, deals with constant praises to improve the accuracy of program payments, such as the Department of Finance has gathered information from death.

It is important, however, to remember the size of social security mistakes. According to July 2024 reports on the Inspector General’s, between 2015 and 2022, improper security payments are calculated under 1 percent of total payments. Apparently that the error rate is lower than any private insurance company.

At that time, the perfect social security managers – other payment errors and is not enough the date of death in some of its old records. And because of the lack of death days I am not surprised that the Musk team receives many records where beneficiaries can be 100+. But those records do not give dirt, fraud and abuse. In fact, people who may think that they should get checkers by those who receive checks, and the general inspector receives 13 checks only to those over 112.

If his musks and his minions want to make it helpful, perhaps they can fill out the missing days of death in the database of social security.
