Starbucks Stars – Get Free Coffee
The Starbucks Rewards program is based on the stars you earn for every dollar spent. For every dollar you spend, you will earn 1-2 stars depending on how you pay.
If you pay with cash or credit card, you will earn 1 star per dollar. When you pay with a Starbucks digital card registered to your app, you’ll earn 2 stars per dollar.
You can trade your stars for different rewards as you earn them:
- 25 Stars: Customize your drink
- 100 stars: Hot coffee or iced tea, baked goods, or packaged snacks
- 200 stars: Crafted drink (cold brew, lattes, etc.)
- 300 stars: A sandwich, protein box, or homemade coffee
- 400 stars: Choose Starbucks merchandise: a signature cup, bowl, or $20 purchase

Starbucks Coupons & Promotion Code FAQ
The best way to get a discount at Starbucks is to make sure you’re signed up for Starbucks rewards and using your app every time you shop. You’ll collect stars and be able to trade them for free drinks, food, and more!
On two-star days, you’ll earn 4 stars for every dollar spent when you pay with your Starbucks digital card. You’ll earn 2 stars per dollar spent when you pay with cash or a regular debit/credit card.
After 400 stars, you will keep earning until you decide to sell them to buy them for free.
Unfortunately, no. That is no longer a weekly promotion.
Yes, your stars expire after 6 months.
